that's what i get for not taking down one song for about two months. juelz, jeezy and wayne were the last straw in the camel's back. ty and i are looking into a different provider. while i was gone, i got some shine on fluxblog. and then the guy scooped me on the song i was gonna post today. and yes, you can play it at a club. and people like it.
i also got my dvd of trapped in the closet parts 1-12 and the ridiculous twist in part 10 and the hilarious commentary (with robert himself in a chair smoking a cigar, watching the film with you) are worth the price alone. totally classic moments. i'm slowly generating catchphrases from it among my circle of friends.
if anyone has any information about J.R (other than who shot him on 'dynasty'), fucking tell me.

Cousin Cole - Project Punk (Project Pat vs Daft Punk)
okay. so this guy did this hot mashup of the two hottest songs of last year and now he's just fucking around with the god project pat. he smudges the vocals from 'ballers' on top of 'steam machine' by daft punk and he just lets it happen. i feel like most people could've made this but it's all about who has the idea first in mashups and cousin cole was the first one to think of this. when i hear this, i imagine pat rapping inside of a hover car driven by the daft punks and he's shooting robo-haters with a lazer gun because the 24th century is real as FUCK.
Lady Sovereign - Hoodie (Basement Jaxx Remix)
the original version of hoodie is maybe one of the worst grime based singles to date. but basement jaxx (predictably) resurrects the husk of a shell of an idea that once burned in this song's incubation by covering it in sugar, degraded synth and a huge chorus. basement jaxx's remixes totally take the song away from the artist and turn it into a basement jaxx song and i love that, because this could've easily been a collab on one of their records. that bass is crazy hot, almost d'n'b steez. i love the chants in the chorus. this is a perfect remix.
